Happy Mid-Winter!

For those of you guys that will be at the AC Boat Show this Saturday, I am doing a one hour seminar on fluke fishing on rough bottom w/ bucktails and other stuff... This is all contingent upon the BLIZZARD they have forecasted for the MA and NE for Friday night into Sunday morning!

A couple of things I want to address right now:

  • Spring Flounder Fishing:  YES, we will do it, but I will only be doing charters for families or groups of guys who will eat the fish together - I will be carrying a mate this year and for all intents and purposes, if I get a group of 6 and they catch their limit of 2 plus the crew catches their limit of 4, you have 16 fish, 32 fillets, so that might be worth it.  Check the rates on the website.
  • Fluke Till Ya Puke Trips:  As was the case the past few summers, we will be doing these trips on Mondays and Fridays through the summer (or as long as the season lets us fish for them), and on some Wednesdays.  Fare this summer is posted on the site - and we will be fishing almost exclusively "up north" from Deal to the Rocks on a daily basis.  With the bigger boat, I have less concern about weather and seas running up there, so the reefs and other spots will be for local trips, or we'll do them on a FTYP trip if the bite is RED HOT.  I will release a schedule once I know the season - but you can pretty much pencil in every Monday and Friday in July and August for FTYP trips.
  • 12# Test Bluefish Trips:  I'm toying with the idea of doing light tackle bluefish/albie/bonito trips this summer on an open boat basis one day per week if not chartered.  If I get enough interest, I will schedule these trips.  We might do these on Tuesdays or Wednesdays - gotta see.
  • Mid-Shore Tuna Trips:  YES, we will be doing jig/chunk trips for bluefins in the summer and early fall as long as a bite develops inside of 40 miles.  We might even do some mahi trips if we get one of those perfect days in August and we get some blue water where it needs to be!!

As always, if you have a group that wants to book a trip, or multiple trips, do it now!  We have a bunch booked from May till November right now but we still have PLENTY of dates available.  We will also be fishing MOST OF the fluke tournaments this summer.

On the 12th I'm headed to the Caribbean and will be doing some bottom fishing - I will post pictures on the site when I get back!
